  5. The Harmony Guides is a wonderful collection of crochet (or knit) stitches, depending on the book you buy. There are 6, and I have them all. Here's a link to the one with the Catherine wheel stitch: http://www.amazon.com/300-Crochet-Stitches-Harmony-Guides/dp/1855856387/ref=pd_bbs_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207889163&sr=8-10
  6. That sounds like the Catherine Wheel. Here is a scarf made with this stitch. I know it is in the Harmony guides. http://greenolive.typepad.com/greenolive/crochet/index.html There's a graph on this page: http://www.*************.nl/crochet_stitches/crochet_stitches_haaksteken_19.htm It's the 4th one down. The 2nd graph is a beautiful stitch talked about and written out on this topic on craftster. Page 13 has the written instructions to this stitch for an afghan: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=221871.0 I hope this helps. Caroline
