Anyone have experiene w/ Red Heart Grande yarn?

Is it soft? Would I be able to use it with this pattern?

It is very soft. It is difficult to see the stitches. I don't think it would be good for that pattern, but you could try.

Well I just wanted to make the blanket thicker ... do you think if I used two strands then it would still lose too much distinction?

I think 2 strands of ww would be OK. Try a swatch and see how it looks.

yeah, Grande would be way too think - it's almost as thick as the yarn girl's wore in their hair in the 70's. Very thick.

 

I'd either do two strands or maybe use a Chunky weight, not a Super Bulky weight.
