soft covers for hooks

Has anyone used the soft covers for your hooks, If so do they help keep down any pain us old folks get in the fingers while crocheting.

Yes, and yes! Just a little while back I was complaining (OK, whining) about how a steel hook hurt my hand and several of the members here suggested hook covers. I got some and am extremely happy with the result. I got "Comfort Grips" by Kahoot at a Hobby Lobby and paid $2.81 + tax. My only wish is that they had color-coded the sizes, but still, I can figure out which grip to slide onto which hook without too much trouble.
