Annie's Attic Article-George Washington Carver

This article is about George Washington Carver. I was just looking to see what the pattern was for the day and saw his picture on the side. He attended Iowa State University where I work. The building next to mine is Carver Hall--named after him. It says he was a crocheter. I never knew that.

I read that article, too. Very interesting, isn't it? Mr. Carver is from my home state and I am glad to call him a "native son". He was a genius of a man.

Neat! I had courses in Carver Hall but never knew that he was a crocheter! Not that this would have come up during my math classes, I suppose...
