phentex fashion four fun fur unraveling?

not sure where to put this but here goes. I bought some phentex fashion four fun fur and stitched it into what I think are beautiful scarfs. The problem is that I wanted to put fringe on the scarfs, I did put it on the first one, but the yarn keeps shedding. It is really soft, but when it sheds it leaves nothing but black strips of the base of the yarn.

 

Any ideas on how to keep it from coming apart????

Try using a tiny little dot of glue at the end of each yarn end. They sell some stuff called "FrayChek" that's made just for that purpose. I've seen it at Joann's.

I forgot to mention that, I tried fray check and it did help a little but it did not stop the shedding.

can you put a knot in the ends, then fray check on the knot? i'd think if you could get a tight enough knot it would look like its supposed to be there.
