Thread that has no name

Hi to all

 

I purchased some thread from a second hand store. Unfortunately:no it did not have a label on it. It is not cotton, it is shiny and crochets beautiful. If this sounds like something anyone has heard of please let me know. This thread does not have to be starched. I had it in white, light and dark sage, (used all of that) I do have some chocolate brown left and I am willing to send out samples if needed.
