has anyone ever dealt with "raw" wool before?

Why, yes I have. I sent it off to professionals to be processed. I decided, as I went back down the chain of events from finished yarn to the sheep, I'd stop at using processed wool, and let others have the fun of washing it. I do, however, enjoy hand and machine carding to combine colors, types of wool, etc. )

who did you have process it? i was lookin at ozark carding (something like that)

 

i have washed 5 pounds of the 15 and i feel that having that experience was great - and i'll never do it again

 

i want to ship off this last 10 pounds to be done professionally. i do plan on learning to card though.... especially to mix and make novelty yarns.

fantastic. their prices are cheaper. do you know what their turn-around time is? this other place was 3-4 months.:wha

although, it will probably take me that length of time to spin the 3 pounds i got in the mail yesterday... but wow... that's a long time.
