Beaded Safety Pin Stitch Markers

Recommended Posts

Ok , I KNOW that I have seen safety pins, with beads on the side that doesn't open. Now I bought safety pins, and seed beads to do that with and use as stitch markers... and I can't figure out for the LIFE OF ME how to get the beads around to the other side of the pin..... any help, links tips, what have you would be great!

Thanks in advance

Are you using safety pins that have the coil at the non opening end? If so, they are the wrong kind. You need the ones that do not have the coil. I have been looking for them but have not been able to locate the ones without the coil. Any suggestions?

The ones with the coil, you need to take a pair of needle nose pliers to gently pry open the coil big enough to bring the beads through then you gently squeeze the coil closed again once all of the beads are on.

needle nose pliers would be in the creepy dark basement.... sounds like a job for hubby :rofl

and I'll be looking for coiless pins...don't think I've ever seen them, but then I haven't looked either.

Thanks for the help all!!
