End of a project

Do any of you get to the end of a project and start assemblying it and it just doesnt look right? I am making a baby blanket and all the squares looked the same laid out, were the same size stacked up while I was finishing the rest. When I started putting them together they look misspapen! Just wondering if its just me!

This happens to me alot in the course of making a "granny blanket" however I do find once it is put together the weight of the "fabric" sort of pulls everything out right.

it can look bizarre until it has been washed have you tried ironing the squares flat, that might help.
