Chelle's lacy poncho.....c'mere!

I am making this poncho, and I am using Bernat 100% cotton. I dont forsee that being a problem in the neck area, do you think? This is my first time using 100% cotton.

 

Also, my neice is 9 years old, wears a size 10. How long do you think you would make this poncho? I might just have to call her mother and ask her to measure her for me, but I was wondering if anyone was making one for a girl this size. How many rows did you do?

I havent used bernat cotton at all yet (would love to though hehe). I would probably go ahead and add a neck border anyways, not decreasing any but just securing the neck line I guess. I would ask for measurements from her shoulder to her elbow, then add about an inch to that then do the final round.
