Black Brrrrrrret Pattern. (free)

a few nights ago my mom challenged me to make her a black beret that was warm yet thin enough for her to fold down small to fit in her small-ish purse.

 

she bought me the yarn, and i came up with a very cute beret that i designed myself. the pattern can be found on my MySpace.com blog. the hat meets her specifications: it's very warm yet it can fit in her purse very easily and takes up almost no room once folded into quarters.

 

here she is in our front entranceway/staircase modeling her new hat

 

 

it's very easy to make and only takes a few hours and about a half skien of yarn.
