Stashbusters 3 -- Scarf up that yarn!

After the chenille jacket fiasco, I had about 2-1/2 skeins leftover. My dd bought the white scarf on the left from Old Navy and I thought "hmmmmmmm...."

 

The black version on the right takes about 3/4 of a skein of chenille and using a size P hook, works up in less than an hour. Ch 90 and alternate rows of single and half-double crochet, working in back loops only to form ribbing. The scarf shown is six rows. I got three of them out of the leftover chenille.
