angel and cone blocking help please

I did an angel for my MIL but the angel needs to go onto a cone to be blocked. My question is should I pin her onto the cone first and then dip in starch, or starch her first and then pin her onto the cone? Thanks for any advice...Cosmic

Myself, I aways dip first then put it on the cone. This way, you are sure you have it totally saturated.

With the plastic wrap on the cone, you do not have to worry about the sticking to much. I think it also gives you a better idea of how it well look when it is dry.
