Any last minute advice?

Okay, so I'm about to begin the felting/fulling process for the first time! I'm making a purse, and I think I know the basic process...but if anyone has any last minute advice I'd sure appreciate it! I used a single strand doing hdc with Paton's Classic Merino in winter white and chestnut brown. So, here's what I know to do so far:

1. Put everything in a zipped pillowcase.

2. Set the washing machine to Hot water/Heavy Duty cycle. (Add a pot of boiling water if not hot enough.)

3. Add a little dish detergent and 1/4 c. baking soda to the water.

4. Put some old jeans in for agitation.

5. Keep checking every 5 minutes.

6. Rinse in cold water.

7. Reshape and let spin to take out excess water.

8. Block item and let air dry.

Am I missing anything? Let me know if you can give me any tips. I'd really like this to turn out well, but I am nervous! If you want, you can view a before pic of the purse on my blog. Thanks for your help!

Okay...so I guess I must have all the steps right... because (a) nobody had anything to add, and (b) I felted the purse tonight, and it turned out just as I had hoped! It's drying out now, and all I have to do is decide how to attach the handles and whether or not to add lining!

Yippee! This was fun! :clap
