corrinep
Problem is, I don't know what it is. It is pretty old - more than 20 years old. It has a stylized sheep logo on the side that is unfamiliar to me. I need to get a belt for it and am not sure where to start (or even how what pulleys to attach the belt to - there are four of them and their layout doesn't make much sense). Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone can tell me how to upload a couple of photos, they would tell a much better story.
Aggie May
Ashfords is the place to look. http://www.ashford.co.nz/felting/felting-frameset.htm http://www.ashford.co.nz/helpandadvice/q-a.htm#carding http://www.ashford.co.nz/helpandadvice/ADC.pdf#search=%22Ashfords%20Drum%20Carder%22 Some links for you to look at. The bottom one will possibly be the most useful. Have fun. Colleen:hug
corrinep
Boy, a picture is worth a thousand words! Now I know how the belt goes on - and I am going to try going down to the automotive store to see if they have anything that might fit the bill! Thank you so much for the quick response. polyartgirl
Hi! I have an old carder too... based on the description of the logo, I'm wondering if your carder is a Pat Green like mine. They are great people to deal with... call their toll free number and they sell the belt that you need. http://patgreencarders.com/ If it's an old one then it's probably just a deluxe like mine. They're fairly simple. I can scan the little description I have for putting the belt on... Hope this helps... Crys*
