Earflap Hat

My son (16) wants me to make a hat with earflaps for snowboarding. It covers the ears and come to a point

(not folding earflaps like a hunting hat) with strings that hang down. (kind of scandanavian looking) I think I've seen one hear before but can't find it. Thanks so much.
