This is a communication to CGOA members from Michaels Arts and Craft Stores.

 

Dear CGOA Member:

 

Michaels Arts and Craft Stores is offering an opportunity for all members of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA) to donate their time to a worthy cause to teach crocheting and/or knitting to customers during our annual October Yarn Event. The emphasis will be on teaching customers to complete squares for the 'Warm up America/Blankets for Canada' charity. The square can be completed on site and donated at the same time, or the customer can just be given direction on how to get started on the project and return their squares at a later date. Michaels will have yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles available for the customer to use while in the store.

 

We are asking that you donate a minimum of one hour between 1 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, October 15. In appreciation, you will receive 20% off your entire purchase of regular priced merchandise (excluding sale items) at the Michaels Store where you will volunteer your time. To receive the discount, your purchase must be made prior to leaving the store after your assigned shift.
