fulling slipper socks

I was thinking about making and fulling these:

I just think that would make them extra cozy for lounging around the house in. However, I'm worried about them fulling shut. I'm thinking I'll try stuffing each sock with a couple of t-shirts. Anyone have any better ideas or experience with this?

 

Anyway, I'll be sure to post a picture however they come out when I'm finished.

Those are great! They really look like they were knit from the picture...any ways....I have felted a lot of slippers and purses and have never had them felt shut. It does follow logic that they might felt shut, but I have never had that problem. I don't think that I would stuff them with anything because they might not shrink enough with something in them, and I don't know how well the shirt would stay inside during the wash cycle. I also check them often during the process so you could pull them apart if they started to felt together. Just my 2 cents!
