First... what is 'cobweb' felt?

I know with regular felt, you can cut it up into shapes and then needle felt it onto some other felted article... like a purse? Or just applique it on... or... cut into shapes and make flowers. If you don't like the color, try dyeing it with Koolaid.

Do you have a picture of what you made?

hi joan,

cobweb felt is rather fine and holey.

i dont like the look of this one i did so dyeing it isnt a option.

i just wandered if i could re wet it and add on more colors to recycle it.

sorry i dont have a pic of it

I don't see why not... what have you got to lose?

It's an opportunity to get really creative:) My first handbag felted badly, so I cut the seams to make a flat piece. Part of it I cut into a square, poked holes around the edges, the crocheted around it=hotpad. The rest I cut into odd shapes & added it to a freeform piece I was working on.

I made a handbag that was just wonky. I cut circles out of it for coasters and then ran them through one more wash cycle to re-felt the cut edges for a more finished edge. I ended up with 12 of them. I stacked them into 2 sets of 6, tied them up with ribbon, and sold them at a garage sale for $6.00 per set!
