Pattern Help

Hey everyone!

I am working on a hat and am having trouble with part of the pattern. Here is the link 2 site http://members.aol.com/JSchlossma/gramhs.html . My problem is with # 5. What does it mean by Ch3, 2 dc in same st? Also when it says 3 dc in next dc what part of the dc the top or the sp? Im sooo lost pls help!

I have just had a look at the pattern for you

 

The first part of your question "CH3, 2DC in same stitch"

 

At the end of the previous round, you finished it off with a slip stitch. This is where you do the 3 chain and then the 2DC into the slip stitch.

 

As for the "3DC in the DC", as far as I do it, it will be into the top loops of the stitch.
