Is there a matte finish high quality thread?

Bought some Cordonnet today at a needlepoint shop. The owner told me that DMC used to make a matte thread that was better to use in making flowers because they looked more real.

 

All the good quality threads I've seen have high luster, and the sheen is quite shiny.

 

Is there still a matte thread? Please and thanks.

If you're looking for size 10, try DMC's Baroque thread. It's available at many craft stores in white and ecru.
