I would like to try this but can't seem to find the supplies locally, anyone have a good online source for supplies? I sure would appreciate the help.

Rio grande (www.riogrande.com ) is great for getting wire. Call their 800 number and request a catalog, because I don't think their website has most of their stock listed. You'll want wire that has a very small gauge... probably 26 or 28 ga. I'd also recommend fine silver rather than sterling, because it is softer and easier to work with.

If you want some practice wire, try copper in the above gauges. You should be able to get that at a hardware store.

There is also some wire called 'Artistic Wire', which is basically copper wire that comes in colors. That is usually available at craft stores such as Michael's or Joann's, etc. If you don't have those near you, google 'Artistic Wire', or check on eBay.

If you want to see some drop dead gorgeous wire crocheted jewelry, check out:

She has tutorials on her site, and be sure to click on 'Collections' to see her work. A lot of the site is in French... but those pictures speak in any language.

I just started making jewlery this past fall, and found it very hard to find the wire in the right gauge and different colors. Until I stumbled upon http://www.landofodds.com they're located in Nashville,TN and the range of beads and wire is excellent! Plus their prices are low and the shipping was super fast :hook
