Sewing?

I am in the middle of doing a baby blanket with like 200 squares and the pattern says to sew the squares together. I LOVE the pattern and REALLY want to finish it for this friend of mine and so I need to know how to sew the squares together. I have been cracheting for a few years and I have never made anything that I have had to sew before. Anyway help would be VERY appreciated. Thanks!
