Violet stitch usage

Anyone used the violet stitch in a project? I just found it in a book and am wondering how it does.

I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Do you have a photo of it?

I don't, it's in a book a checked out from the library. It's called for in at least one of the crochet "receipts" in the Gutenberg book online, which I posted a few days ago.

I'll post the how-to's next time I'm visiting this computer.
