suggestions

I am working on a giant granny square afghan. I am using a size J and I but as it get bigger it seems to be more tighter in the middle and loose on the outside. Does any one have any suggestions please e-mail me at wandakinchen@yahoo.com

Your centre is not really getting tighter, it just appears to be. The outside edge is getting looser.

A granny square does not sit well when it gets too big.

How is your Granny Square done? Is it the simple groups of 3DCs with 2 groups in the corners and CH1 between the groups?

If it is, simply leaving out the CH1 will make it sit better.

If you want a large square, you are better making 4 smaller squares, joining them together, then doing a few rows of a simple edging to finish off.
