Help with understanding a pattern

This is my first time trying to follow a pattern instruction,

 

ch 151

Row 1 (RS) Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across - 150 hdc; turn. Fasten off.

 

I understand that the ch #151 it is ch 1 for the row 1, Am I suppost to skip ch 2 or do sc on ch2 then do Hdc in 3rd ch?

 

Could you please explain what all this means?

you're supposed to skip 2 ch, and hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook. hope that helps
