Beanie edges curl upwards...

photojenic

Question

I made a single crochet beanie using this pattern: Crochet Hat

I followed the instructions at the bottom and stiched a decreasing round, then one round of sc. However, the edges now want to curl upward slightly. (I used Woolease.) Nobody else seems to notice but me, so it's probably not a big deal....but it gets on my nerves. I think I'm slightly OCD. Lol!

Anything I could have done to prevent it? Or is this something that beanies do? TIA!

I don't know if this helps, but what I do to prevent curling is turn the hat inside out and to a row of sc along the bottom - sometimes with a decrease here and there to make it extra snug.

When you turn it inside out, it tends to prevent the bottom from flipping out.

It's not OCD - you spent time on your hat and you want it to look just right!
