Piecework Magazine

Interweave Press have a magazine called Piecework. It's heavily weighted towards needlework, but it has crochet and knit patterns in just about every issue (also tatting and other fiber crafts).

The most recent issue (with the knit boy and girl on the cover) has a pattern for a very cute crocheted beret with some historical context.

They also have some free patterns on their site here.

Worth a look if you are also interested in other fiber crafts!

[i picked this issue up for the knit boy and girl on the cover, but also really like the tatted star! not that I have had any tatting success yet.]

I have subscribed to Piecework for several years & love it. I especially like the historical articles with the projects demostrating the needlework technique.

Me too! I love the historical background. I'm very much getting into historical/traditional fiber techniques. :)
