crocheted felted hat project

I began crocheting yesterday evening and I am almost finished-

Fairly easy instruction from Fiber Trends

I used Kraemer yarn(www.kraemeryarns.com)

Naturally Nazareth-color Winter

This is the first time I am using this yarn-

Probably tomorrow or Monday I will felt project-

i finally felted the hat but not with good results-i thought i had followed all the instructions-it looked very big but i thought that the hat would shrink(felt) similar to my other projects-

it is still enormous-it is placed on an 8qt pot

i will re-try tomorrow

any suggestions?
