Magic circle - Beginner

crochet_newbie

Question

Hey,

I am vey new to crochet (literally started a week ago) and I'm currently trying to teach myself the magic circle.

I have watched numerous YouTube videos but they are not very clear. I have included a picture from online as an example. My question is for the second ring (I will be doing increases), would I go in the centre of the V under one strand, where B is? or would I go under both strands as shown with line A? Or are both incorrect?

I have literally attempted this so many times.

Thank youScreen Shot 2021-08-20 at 15.17.04.pdf

The magic circle is what you placed your stitches for round 1 into.  You are now ready to work on round 2.  In order to keep track of your rounds place a stitch marker in the first stitch of your round and move it to first stitch of next round when you get bak to it.  You can use safety pins, bobby pins, or a piece of yarn if you do not have a stitch maker.

Unless your pattern specifies you go under both strands.  If it says blo (back loop only) you work under the back strand.  flo (front loop only) you work under the front strand.
