Hi I am stuck doing jacks t shirt you decrease for the shoulder on row 17, but it seems to be only on 1 side of the t shirt and it does not look right any help please,

Welcome to the 'ville!  I found an Emma Varnam 'Jack the Rabbit', is this it?  He's adorable!

If this is the right pattern, the 4th photo down on the linked page shows the shirt hanging on a clothesline, clever way to show the structure. 

It looks (to me) like it's made in the round to the armpits, then you'll work the front in a shape sort of like /___\ (with the neckline across the top), then cut the yarn, re-attach and do the same with the back.  Then it appears you'll make sleeves and seam them on.

You said decrease for the shoulder, but there is no shoulder, it is the armhole, and yes you should be decreasing on both sides like my crude diagram.

I looked at projects on  Ravelry, there was no mention of errors.

It is OK to share a line or 2 of the pattern, or show us what you have so far, it might help us troubleshoot.
