Wecome to the 'ville!

Getting my bearings, row 8 started and ended with a DC, and the rest was repeats of SC, chain 5.

Row 9 - the only thing I saw that might look unusual if you've never done it before is '1 sc in next ch-5 arch'.  That means around the chain 5 arch (or some patterns would say ch5 loop),  Treat the arch as if it was the top 2 loops of a normal stitch, under which you would stick your hook to form a stitch around those 2 loops -- instead stick you hook under the loop and form the stitch around the chain loop/ chain arch.  The rest of row 9 looks straightforward.

Row 10 looked similar to row 8, which if I read your question right, was "OK".

Let me know if I am missing something, what I think looks straightforward might not to you. The 'how to work into the chain' question comes up once in a while here so that's why I focused on that.
