Question
Tammy Leggetter
Hello
Fairly new to crochet and really struggling getting started with a vintage blouse pattern.
I’ve attached some photos.
There are 4 rows which form the pattern of the front of the blouse. The Tension asks to make 4 pattern repeats with a no. 3 hook and this should measure 3.5 inches. I’ve only done one pattern repeat and this already measures 2 inches!
I am also asked to make 10 rows on a 3.5 hook which should measure 3 inches. I am guessing by 10 rows that I crochet two X pattern repeats (8 rows) and then 1st row and 2nd row to make 10 rows, is this correct? I can’t see any hope this is going to measure 3 inches on an even larger hook.
In addition my tension sample looks absolutely nothing like the pattern of the picture of the finished designers blouse! Does anyone recognise the stitch on the finished blouse?
Thank you so much, any help most gratefully received.
Tammy
