Good article, but hey, I love making granny squares and there's a lot you can do with them. They're not just for granny's anymore!

I agree. Interesting article. I love it how all the knitters are becoming envious of all the cool stuff we do that you could not do with knitting needles. However, I disagreed with "granny squares taking a five year break." I used to be prejudiced against grannies myself, but they are so much more hip and larger variety of patterns these days!

Great article. It was nice to see Deb and Kim quoted there. I know the granny square concept will continue to be debated as relic or retro, but either way, it's still cool to see crochet making the limelight!
