Sweet Dreams crochet pattern - help

Hello,

I’m currently working on the Sweet Dreams crochet pattern by Terry Kimbrough.  I am having issues with the last round of the border.  I’m confused about where to put the stitches & the picots.  I have enclosed photos of the directions & my work on the border so far.   Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I made this a long time ago, and remember that the pattern was frustrating for me.  So many words and so few pictures!  

But if you look through the projects on Ravelry I think you'll find helpful photos, and maybe notes, for the picots.

That first sentence, before the star, is all supposed to be done in that "first corner ch three space".  Note when you do the three picots there are not sc between them, so the picots would be sort of hanging in space, if you didn't then do the sc into the base of the first picot.  

Thats about all I can say, my blanket was donated so I don't have it to look at now.

That looks like a different edging to me.  Is it supposed to be showing Sweet Dreams edging?
