What can I crochet with mohair yarn?

A store closed and my friend bought for me 60 pieces of mohair yarn as gift. She could not resist a bargain.  I learned crochet a long time ago, stayed at beginner level and have done only simple projects with acrylic yarn.

I find mohair difficult to work with and I am really at a loss what would be a good project. Can mohair be used to crochet an afghan? Would I have to use another yarn with it to make it stronger?

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

60 skeins, wow!  I'd have never thought of making a blanket with it.  Hats, cowls scarves come to mind mostly.  I would pair it with wool, not acrylic, as you'd want the 2 fibers to act the same/similarly when being used and cleaned.  You do need to use a large-ish hook (when working with it alone), because of the halo it 'acts' like a heavier yarn than it appears.
