Extra Stitches at End of Row?

Aichonette

Question

Hi, I'm new to crocheting and working on a pattern from a book I got at the craft store.  I just got to the end of my 4th row, and the instructions tell me, "2 dc in last sc: 112 sts and 65 ch-1 sp."  So...I have 2 double stitches in the last stitch, but what in the world am I supposed to do with the 112 sts and 65 ch-1 sp bit?  Is that something I do that will go in between rows 4 and 5?  I'm so confused...

Thank you!!

Don't panic.  Many patterns give you a 'sanity check' stitch count at the end of each row, this is just telling you you should have just completed 112 stitches and 65 chain-1 spaces.  So if your stitch count doesn't match, something's gone amiss, but if it does you're good to go.
