Need help with a pattern for a flower

ddolenz

Question

Hi all

I am new to this forum.  I am a US expat living on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, so the terms are different than the US.  I am getting use to it but this has me stumped.

I am trying to make a simple flower.  A Meconopsis.

The 2nd round say:     (4ch, 2-st dtr cluster in next dc,4ch,1dc In next dc)

2-st?  That is the part I don’t get.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Crochetville!

There's two sets of crochet terms, UK and US. Your pattern is UK. Here's a link with the main differences...

A UK dtr is the same as a US tr. "2-stitch dtr cluster" means to do 2 tr stitches in the same stitch.

In the chart, 2-st dtr cluster is represented by 2 long lines with double slashes. When a pattern's language is confusing, it's good to have a chart. Here's a link for chart reading...

By the way, it's against forum rules to post pictures of patterns due to copyright violations.
