Welcome to Crochetville!

Repeats can be confusing when looking at them in pattern shorthand.  What I do is write it out.  It helps me to understand what needs to be done.

For example ...

ch 5, sc in next ch-5 space

ch 3, sc in next ch 5 space (keep doing these 2 things until there are no more ch-5 spaces)

ch 3, skip, dc, skip

ch 3, skip, dc, skip

ch 3, skip, dc, skip

ch 3, skip, dc, skip

ch 3, skip, dc, skip

ch 3, join to first sc

I hope this helps!  If it doesn't, then try writing it out in a way that makes sense to you.  Just make sure that you write out the repeats.  If you're still confused, tell us what the round before this one is.  It helps to know what was done previously to understand the current round better.  Also, if you have a link to the pattern or a link to the picture or the name of what you're doing, that helps, too.

Hi, welcome to the Ville! Are you certain you typed all the punctuation correctly? That looks confusing to me, partly because it starts with straight bracket and ends with curly bracket. Like Sharon said , the pattern name and location would help as well.
