To make or not?

I came across a cute baby pattern and wanted some feed backs......The pattern is for a Teething Lovey Blanket-you take a teething ring and crochet around the ring and attach/crochet a baby loveyblanket to it....

 

Q1- How hard will this item be to wash/clean? Do you just toss in the washer machine?? and line dry it?

 

 

Q2--> Would you gift it to a new mommie??

I love lovey blankets!  If you get a teething ring that is completely sealed and yarn that is washer/dryer safe, you should be able to throw it both the washer and the dryer.  I try to only make baby items that are washer/dryer safe, because a new mommy doesn't need to worry about what can't go in the washer and dryer.  You can always gift a mesh laundry bag with the item to keep it looking good.
