Thanks but when it says use new color and pull through two loops to finish stitch do you just leave a long strand of yarn without knotting it? I am afraid this would come undone later. Also, when you fasten off do you tie knots?

I do leave that long thread hanging there until I have either knitted or crocheted a few more rows. Then I go back and weave those ends in. I only knot it when it is some weired thread or yarn that cannot be woven in (something with bumps or bobbles, etc.). Once you've woven the yarn back and forth 2 or 3 times, it is not likely to come undone. Especially after it has been washed, as it snugs it up a bit.

Relax, dear. It will be fine. I can tell you that there is nothing worse than having a lovely hand crocheted item that is uncomfortable because there are hard knots in it. If you prefer, you can separate the plies of the yarn and weave them all in separately. This will make it less likely to come undone and will also be almost impossible for anyone to see.
