Pretty Ripple Blanket

Jayashiangel

Question

Trying to do a ripple blanket. pattern

My blanket seems to be bowing on end & I think just in general am I right??? Is this due to I think the chain 2 and the DC in the same at the beginning and the 2 DC at the end as per pattern or could it be due to the light weight yarn I am using Lion Brand Pounder ball w/ a I hook....Help and thanks...don't want to get to far and have to rip out.......

Coincidentally, I just now started a ripple blankie and had the same problem..  It is because your starting chain is tighter than your other stitches.  I am gonna go up at least 1 hook size for my next starting chain.

It's hard to see in the photo, but are you certain you have all your hills and valleys lined up right?  Seems like it should look a bit more ripple-y than it does.

your beginning chain is on the left, correct?  that edge is still tighter than the rest.  I'd go up another hook size for your start.  Otherwise it looks good, i like the lt green color.
