Putting a border on zigzag.

Question

I'm making a blanket for a 6 year old, it is basically hexagons. When it's finished, two sides will be straight but two will be like a zigzag. This is the one I'm making

I hope that link goes through, but on the sides with a zigzag type pattern, if I want to go back at the end and put an sc border or something like that, how would I do it on the sc part? Seems like I could have to decrease or something but I don't know cause I've never done it before.

The author said she put a couple of rows of dc around the afghan. As best as I can make out, it looks like she worked three dc on the points. I can't see on the valleys, but I would imagine she would have had to do a decrease there. I've never worked with hexagons, but that's how I trim my ripples. Hope it helps.
