hairpin lace crochet fork

I am sure I can find one of these at Michael's but I haven't gotten there yet to look. 'Does anyone have any tips or recommendations before I buy?

The only ones I've been able to find are this 12" one by Boye's, Adjustable to widths of 1/2 1 1/2" 2" 2 1/2" 3" 3 1/2" and 4":

Hey, I was looking for one of these before too. I had a heck of a time. Some people said to go to Wal-Mart, but the one here didn't have any. Then I also went to MIchaels, and the lady didn't know what i was talking about.........

 

I eventually found one at Lewiscraft, in a town about two hours away from here. (had to go pick up my BIL)

 

it's a plain, susan bates one, but it works!

If you go to Joanns.com, they have several hairpin crochet devices available. That is where we found my hairpin lace loom. I have the Boye's one, which is the widest commercially available loom available on the market. Stitchdiva.com has a lovely one as well that goes wider.
