opinion please

Hi I'm working on a bag but the pattern is not out of a book, magazine, website, ect. It's out of my head. The bottom is made like a bowl but I tweaked the stitches a little. I made it with size 4 yarn with a size H hook. The body of the bag I have picked out a fabric yarn size 6 and thinking about using a size Q hook. I haven't worked with fabric yarn before. So I would like to have people's opinion about it and what kind of stitch I should use?

Just curious, what's the name of the yarn?  Is this it, or similar? http://www.redheart.com/yarn/boutique-sassy-fabric  I would look at a pattern for this yarn and follow that stitch method, since you are meant to stitch the holes together - there are some patterns below the picture of the yarn, also a video.
