Nevermind - symbol crochet help

Nevermind - I think I got it figure out/

 

I've only done symbol crochet once and it was a nightmare.  This makes a pretty flower pattern but I need help with the symbol translation.  Can anyone help?  I'm only looking for help on the left hand side pattern - the one marked 1.  I've also put up a photo of what it's supposed to look like.

 

I'd really appreciate any help at all.
