May/June Swaps Are Just Around the Corner!

Hi fellow 'Villers!  The next round of official Crochetville Swaps will open for sign-ups in about 10 days. If you've not swapped with us before, here is some swap information:

 

Two or three different swaps, with different requirements, are offered every two months. The small swaps have a month-long turn around time, but the larger swaps take place over 6 weeks. Each swap will have a separate thread in the Swap Forum, and will detail all the specifics you need to know (for example, when sign-ups end, when packages need to be mailed, how much money needs to be spent for that swap, what items are to be included in your package, etc.). We always have a budget swap as well as a swap with a $25 minimum, and often one in-between. Sometimes we swap particular items (like shawls), sometimes we swap items around a particular theme.

 

In May and June, we'll be hosting these swaps:

 

KISS Sachet (a.k.a. Keep It Simple Swap)--swap one crocheted sachet with your partner and nothing else, just a sweet little scented sachet to tuck into a drawer or hang in your closet

 

Bookmark Swap--Swap three crocheted bookmarks and two gently used paperback or hardcover books with your partner

 

Scavenger Hunt ($25 minimum)--A list of required items you must send your partner that you will have to hunt down, plus a list of extras to scavenge and send to enter to win one of the prizes

 

The KISS sachet is a new swap; previous KISS exchanges have been dishcloths, granny squares, etc. The Bookmark and Scavenger Hunt swaps are returning swaps, so you can search the Swap Archive if you're interested but want to get a feel for the swap before you join.
