Crochet stitch st sts

I need help with a stitch called st(s) sts(es). And also I need to make loops.

Is this from a pattern you can link to on the net?  Or if it's not a free pattern, can you link to a picture of it ?  Failing that, if you are having problems with a line or 2 of a pattern, you could type those lines out here and we can try to help you decode it (just don't copy the whole pattern, that would violate copyright).

 

I've only ever seen st st as an abbreviation for stockinette or stocking stitch, in knitting.   Or, it could just be an abbreviation for stitch and stitches, but I'd think that would make more sense as st and sts.

 

Also, is the pattern telling you to 'pull up a loop'?  This would be part of making a stitch, but 'make a loop' isn't enough information to go on by itself.
