How do I write this?

I have a complicated stitch that I don't know how to annotate.

 

DC dec (without pulling thru the 3 loops), skip a st, DC dec, then pull thru all 5 loops. Make sense?

 

Is there a proper way to annotate this to show that you don't complete the decreases until the end?

 

First pic is before pulling through the loops, second is after.

i think you need to describe it in detail in a special stitches section, give it a name, and then you can just refer to it by that name in the pattern.  the stitch descriptions on nexstitch are good, you might model it on those.

Okay, so something like this?

 

Special DC decrease: (YO, insert hook into next ch, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops) 2 times; skip a ch and repeat between ( ) 2 more times, YO, draw through all 5 loops.
