what type border for afghan

i have done a corner to corner afghan, burt i have no idea what type of border to put around it.  can anyone please help?

Does it really need a border? Personally, i think many stitch patterns look just fine without being enclosed by a border.

I am with Kathy, I usually think things look fine without borders. But if you would really prefer to add one, if you want something simple, crab stitch/reverse single crochet is a quick, simple favorite of mine that I think looks good with pretty much everything. Or you could do a round of single crochet, then work a round of shell stitches for a scalloped edge.

Your local library might have them or others that you could take a look at.

I tend to add a border to all my afghans, even ripples or a giant granny. I just think it finishes it off very nicely. Depending on the pattern, I either do a reverse sc, or a sc, or dc, scallops, picot, shells. Sometimes you just have to do a few stitches to see what you like best.

Hi, I agree with the above comment, I too tend to border afghans, and experiment with it quite a bit before deciding on what matches i'ts "Personality" lol, Have fun!
